G'day, from downtown Dili. As a Scarboro SLSC member, I have a request on behalf of the Dili Surf Life Saving Club, which has a current membership of 50 Australian servicemen and women who are serving with the UN peackeeping force. The Dili Surf Life Saving Club is affiliated with SLSA. On behalf of the club's 50 or so current members (and all that serve here after us) I'd like to know if any club could spare some paraphernalia for the bar area (competition cap, plaque, posters, stickers, old surf reel perhaps!). The only things they have here at the moment are some patrol flags and some stuff from Nowra SLSC, including an oar. If you can assist, it would be most appreciated. You can send up to 20kg free to this address: FREEPOST

Tim Tucak created a competition cap for Dili SLSC in January 2004. The design is based on the colours of the Australian Defence Forces, but also incorporates the colours of the flags of the country in which they are serving. For Dili SLSC I have used the colours of the East Timorese flag, a red stripe, yellow stripe and black stripe and white star symbol, on a predominantly green cap to acknowledge the Australian Army. | |||||||
