What we teach
|
We teach a short form of the Sun Style also known as
Tai Chi for Arthritis.The long form of the well known WU
Tai Chi style, both the square and the round form. Chi Kung
(Qi gong) Shibashi 1,Shibashi 2.Five element qi gong etc.
B eginners start off with short warm up
exercises followed by some of the Chi Kung (Qi gong)movements , and is
followed by learning the short Sun form.
A dvanced students, after having completed
the Sun form have the choice of either, continuing with practicing the Sun
form or progressing on to learning the Wu style.
All of the above practices are suitable to a wide range of ages and
physical ability.
T he Sun form (Tai Chi for Arthritis) is
supported by Arthritis Victoria.
What to wear ?
C lothing should be comfortably loose. e.g. track
suit or any other casual loose fitting cloth. The Martial Arts shops sell
loose fitting trousers. We sell T-shirts with our club logo. Shoes
should be soft e.g. runners would be suitable
