St Alban's Choir

The Choir outside St Alban's Church

The St Alban's Choir was first formed to sing at the dedication and consecration of the new St Alban's Worship Centre on the 31st October 1987. It was then decided to make it a permanent choir under the leadership of Mr Ross Newman. After his leaving the area a few months later Mrs Erica Bolt, the church organist, became the choirmistress and this continued until April 2003 when she moved away.
The choir meets every Wednesday at 5.00pm for practice and sings most Sundays during the 9.00am Eucharist service at St Alban's. On the third Sunday of the month, the choir robe for the Sung Eucharist at that service and also on special occasions of the Parish.
At the present time there are seven sopranos, five altos, two tenors and three base voices in the choir and we are always looking for new members.
