What can you do for Edmund Rice Camps?

Support our fundraising events, encourage, peers, family members, friends and students too (like Our Annual Ball, The City to Bay Fun Run, Entertainment Book Sales, etc.)

Nominate students & or families in need of a camp or activities day as participants

Support school fundraising and donation efforts for us (such as can, cordial, milk or cereal drives) If your school hasnot planned one this year why not encourage your school and talk to us about it Volunteer for us this Can be coming on an entire camp to work with the young people, organizing and running a single activity (either on a camp or activity day for families, young people, children, or parents), assisting with picking up and dropping off furniture donations, bus driving for a camp, helping to pack trailers, assisting with admin in the office (Basically if there is something that appeals to you, we probably need assistance with it!)

Encourage year 12s to get involved and volunteer for us Offer subjects that you might be able to assist with planning or facilitating a training topic for our volunteers, topics could include; team building, behavior management, language we use, OHS&W, working with young people, just to name a few!

Donate items for us to use or distribute for people, such as, food items, sporting equipment, board & card games (all types, they do not have to be brand new), other equipment (cameras, printers, computers, overhead projectors, white boards, etc), craft items (scissors, cardboard, paper, textas, pencils, pens, etc), furniture, beach equipment (buckets, spaces, towels, etc), toys (all sorts).

Advertise and hopefully supply volunteers for retreats, excursions, and activities (our success rate has been very good to date)

Get young people (our volunteers) to come to your school and talk to your students about various issues, such as; their faith in action, social justice, tips for volunteering, preparing for community service work, after year 12, and many other topics

Run activities at various events, such as team building games, ice breaker games, getting to know you games

Accept nominations of students & families in need of an activity day of camp Advertise volunteering opportunities for our volunteers to assist with, and hopefully fill positions within your school programs, such as LAP programs, FETES, canteen, uniform shops, any other area help might be needed Take students for work experience or community services
