The British Shorthair originated from the native working cats, of  the streets and yards of Great Britain. Large robust, healthy, with happy dispositions, Great Britain's working cat.

British short Hair are independent, yet very affectionate. They like to follow you around the house, watching to make sure you do thing right. The male in particular is very people oriented, usually downright mushy and cuddly.  They need very little grooming, and make ideal family or apartments pet and companions.

Purshantys cattery is now breeding British Shorthair from old established Bloodlines, for their Robust Health, Large Teddy bear size, and docile layback, easy going loving temperaments.  I will be mainly focusing on breeding Nice Type Blues, Creams and Blue creams.

I am Hoping to produce some very nice Type kittens for the show bench in the coming season.
