Punk Online

11th September 2000 Well as you will have known Punk Online has been down for around a week now, and as promised I have built a new Web Page. It has many similar features but I believe this is a better page. I do hope that all the loyal/regular visitors will continue to visit this page. It can be found at http://lifesentencezine.cjb.net. 6th September 2000 Ok, I have decided to stop updating this site. I may let it sit here for a little while or I may take it down within the next few days. I dunno. I am sorry to all the people who really liked the site and visited daily. I dunno how many of these people there are but thanks. It was fun while it lasted. I guess I just got a bit sick of updating the site everyday and then slowly saw it being taken over by Pop Punks. That was the last thing I wanted to happen. It was meant to be a site for old school fans and for people who hated bands who were cashing in on punk. I think it is better that I take it down now, then let the page slowly become a Pop site. To all those people who think I am being over dramatic about this, Fuck You! Try spending everyday for two months working hard to make a site that actually becomes popular and not feel a bit sorry when it is all over. I have plans for a new site, however it won't be limited to punk info like this one was. It will be a personel site that let's people know about me and it will be a place for me and others to express our views about anything we want. It will be similar, it will still have mp3s and articles and artwork but it will have no punk news and I hope that this will turn all the pop kids away. I do not know the name of it yet but I am thinking of going with something like "Bollocks" or "No Future" or something negetive like that. I'm gonna start work on it tomorrow. I guess I will post the addy here, or maybe not. I don't really know. Well anyway, that's about it. I'm rambling again. 5th September 2000 Well I managed to get an update done today. All I did was upload a few singles songs, including two Business, two buzzcocks, one Germs and one exploited, plus some others I forget. I also did a new journal entry. Scott I am thinking of shutting this down. I am so sick of people thinking they are really punk becuase they listen to MXPX and Blink 182! On Sunday I was in Town with my mum and all of a sudden five or six pop punks come up while I was talking to my mum and are like hey man are you going to MXPX (they were playin in my city that night). I laughed and said no, then they were like "ohh this guys a punk" and they thought they had heaps in common with me cause I had a Dead Kennedys Tshirt on and a few patches on my pants. It pissed me off so much! These were just losers with their $50 pants and $20 wallet chains and they thought they were cool. The I goto punknews.org cause occasionally they post some good news, you just have to sort through all the commercial pop shit and plugs for music.com and shit like that. And they've got this poll that says "Do you think we sold out" and there are all these pops there saying that this is the best site ever cause they post punk news that is really hard to find anywhere else cause punk is so unpopular. Fuck off dickheads! You guys are dreaming! Punk is now cool - people are making millions of dollars by calling themselves "punk" and "different" and it sickens me! Frankly I don't wanna have nothing to do with! I am very mad at the moment, because the punk scene is something I feel like I belong too - I have always felt isolated from the other kids at school who dressed in everything new and cool and now I see these "cool" kids starting to like so called punk bands and thinking they are really cool. They will be the first to go when something else comes along - fuck them! It tears me up to see this happening to something so good as punk. I hope I never sellout - I hope I stay true forever, as hard as it may be. I never want to turn out like these people. I don't know what the future holds for this site, I will just have to wait and see. Vote for it if you want - I don't really give a fuck if people come here anymore. It is obvious by the MXPX poll that the pop kids are beginning to slowly find this site - and that is the thing I most feared. The site has been going for two months now and has over 3000 visitors - it was good while it lasted, but maybe it is time to pack it all up? I will let you know within the next few days. Scott

3rd September 2000 I am sorry that I haven't updated the page for a while, but I have been really busy with school and stuff. I will not get a chance to update the site either today or tomorrow and with two exams on Wednesday I do not know if I will have time on Tuesday either. But I will defienetly update it by the end of Wednesday. Please keep checking back because I may find time to update it earlier. Sorry for this. Scott
