up big for plush fabrics this weekend - checking out how everything
feels to the touch and how it pleases the eye. Why not try getting
that same high with a bit of body movement that doesn't also
involve opening the wallet and showering certain retail sectors
with your cash'n'plastic! Scorpios won't feel so comfy this weekend
- what? Got a secret burning to get out of the vault, putting
things on edge? Dilemma! Better find that velour track suit and
curl up in a corner somewhere with a copy of Jasper Morello on
DVD.Haven't worn cords in a while, or those choice russet-coloured
moleskins (with a bit of stretch, of course)? - this is the weekend
to check out how you really feel about front-pleated trackpants....
necessary? Flattering? Smart folk cleaned out their cupboards
LAST weekend so this one they get to freely eat, drink, be merry
and look faaabulous reclining in new frocks, hair-dos, make-up
and velvets. I can see the queue forming at the Chocolate Shop
already. Book early for restaurants this weekend - everyone's
going to have the same idea. Probably due to those clock-watching
taskmasters cracking their bossy whips at home - but there's
wonderful inspiration and a dream lover or two to be met with
when you sleep. Try to remember what they tell you - they're
dreaming of you too, you know! Don't forget to wish up a storm.

JUPITER MOVES INTO
SIGN OF SCORPIO FROM 26th Oct 2005
Giant JUPITER has just moved from Libra where he's
been over-blowing partnerships, artistry, justice
and the need for mediation for
the past 12 months, pouring the grow-food on Libra in
your chart and expanding things for LIBRANS generally.
Librans, for the
next 12 months, the last 12 month's efforts will start coming
to you!
Now Jupiter hits SCORPIO. Scorpios: what happened 12 years ago? The same flavour pops on your taste-buds now and it's more than just reflux. Wherever Scorpio's in your chart, and Scorpions, will be receiving big opportunities. This energy will do its thing for 1 year before Jupiter moves on, so make the most of what comes your way. It's considered lucky, but it broadens EVERYTHING in the area it's contacting, indiscriminately: so square things away.

* delving into life's secret and arcane mysteries such
as metaphysics, alchemy, psychology
* more secrets come your way; things that have been hidden
start to show up
* any research or digging you undertake exposes more than
you could have imagined - know when to draw the line at what's

by publicly revealing their deepest feelings. Scorpionic

* Deep, magentic encounters with a charismatic - perhaps
priest/ess? - someone who knows a lot and inexplicably seems
to know the very soul of you; karmic loose-ends get tied

of mesmerising underworld (this doesn't necessarily have sexual
connotations but there'll be no disputing the powerful attraction,

Globally, AIDS, cancer and bacteria
take centre stage: a new bacterial strain emerges/bacterial outbreak,
more resources applied to researching or harnessing bacteria
and new control issues with/new ways of using radiation,
x-rays, uranium and plutonium.

SATURN IN LEO
Restrictive, rules-lovin', remake/remodel planet Saturn
has plodded from the sign of Cancer (where he's been doin' stuff
to private, national and global home security for 2 years), into
the sign of Leo. Cancerians can breathe a sigh of relief
and get every penny working for them now, whilst Leos
get to re-direct personal will and the first impressions they
make ... and gird their loins (which is just a typo away from
"grid their lions"), knuckling down for the long haul,
not the long roar! Leos it's a great time to develop new good
habits, break old ones, start a diet and streamline expression
so it builds something long-term that you can rely on.

ECLIPSES 2006
Contrary to popular misconception and myth, eclipses are not
"rare" events, they happen in two pairs every year.
The actual eclipse motion can be seen from different places on
the planet at different times hence the gathering of "eclipse
watchers" in various locations each year and the astrological
energy of an eclipse is said to be very powerful for the location
across which the visible "eclipse path" travels. Eclipses
can be potent triggers, especially if they are very close to
the same degree of any planet or House Cusp in your chart. When
an eclipse occurs right on a significant point in your chart,
expect the affairs of that Sign (expression) and House (area
of life) to become important over the coming months, to culminate
in some way during the following 2 week period and then again
at the time of the next eclipse.
Dates for this year's Solar (Sun) and Lunar (Moon) eclipses are:

LUNAR 14th March 2006 at 24 degrees Virgo
SOLAR 29th March
2006 at 8 degrees Aries

2006
Mercury Retrograde Periods
All the planets except the Sun and Moon "go retrograde"
(Rx) - or appear, from our perspective here on Earth - to move
backwards through the heavens from time to time. In Astrology
it is believed that this apparent backward motion brings into
focus the areas ruled by that planet.
MERCURY RETROGRADE may be one of the most commonly known of these cycles. For "reasons unknown" the computer crashes more than normal or the email account doesn't work or the net is inaccessible or appointments get scrambled or that steel-clad deal bizarrely starts to dissolve or mail gets delivered incorrectly (or not at all) - "Ah" us Astrologers say: "Mercury Retrograde!".
Mercury "goes Rx" 3 times a year for 3 weeks at a time. Mercury, the Messenger of the Gods, is associated in Astrology with all forms of communication (verbal, written, electronic); with transportation; handiwork; machinery; contracts and written agreements; with study and ways of thinking; siblings and the local neighbourhood. When Mercury turns tail it is commonly held that one should not rely on appointments being kept or timetables adhered to; messages getting through properly; documents or mail being delivered as expected; technological devices (such as computers, fax machines etc) "talking" to each other as they should; short trips to go as planned; there can be minor mechanical issues with vehicles. Traditionally this is not thought of as a great time to launch a new enterprise - such as a website or a TV show or a marketing campaign - or to sign agreements.... discuss them (but don't expect everyone to "get" what everyone else is on about) and agree in principle, but don't commit them to paper if you can possibly wait until the Rx period passes. If not, then expect the agreement to turn out rather differently than originally intended or to not be a lasting deal - in fact, I can assure you from personal experience that such things undertaken during a Mercury Retrograde cycle tend to be downright FIZZERS! Also not a great time to buy techno gadgets although, ironically, the urge to do so can suddenly intesify during this cycle. Use it for thinking, not doing!
Use
Mercury Rx to:
*re-think, re-plan, revise and re-evaluate big decisions
*allow more time for getting to and from destinations and for
appointments
*attend to vehicle, equipment and machinery (big and small) maintenance
and repairs
*look at "old stuff" or ideas and see if these might
now be viable options for the near future
*research
*go over old ground but don't take action on any revelations
or new thoughts just yet
*improve communication with others (in every way)
*look after hands and shoulders
*SLOW DOWN!

Predictions for next 7+ years (as heard on Shauna's "Astrolite"
segment, radio 3AK January 2003):
Uranus in Pisces from March
11 2003 and for next 7 years....
*Traditional, organized religions begin to fall apart and then
re-unify in some way; religion goes significantly "online"
UPDATE 2004: Much debate about the basis of traditional Chritianity
brought to the fore via Dan Brown's phenomenal best-seller, fictional
novel "The Da Vinci Code" and the fact-based hypothesis
of the re-released "The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail"
by Baigent/Leigh/Lincoln.
*Drug companies, tired of losing marketshare to the illegal drug
trade, develop and produce their own version of "designer"
or "recreational" drugs that receive general social
acceptance because they're "prescribed"/mainstream;
There will be some way in which pharmaceuticals and the pharmaceutical
industry are brought to the forefront of the public's attention,
or have to get "broken down" / "cleaned up"
UPDATE 2004: Pan Pharmaceuticals crisis in Australia with
mass recall of natural therapuetic products; Pharmaceuticals
and the PBS scheme in Australia under the microscope due to Prime
Minister Howard's push to sign alleged Free Trade Agreement with
US.
*A new art form is pioneered
*A new film genre is developed; more entertainment derived from
computer-generated images leading to high-paid film actors lowering
their asking fees in order to remain viable in the marketplace
- or to actors becoming "disembodied" - so perhaps
a higher incidence of "voices only" being used in entertainment
UPDATE 2004: "Performance Capture", new generation
animation technique that both animates and "captures"
an actor's actual performance is pioneered for 2004 Christmas-release
Tom Hanks' film"The Polar Express". Film was allegedly
too expensive to make using "actual" performers. Hanks
voices and provides performance 'blueprint" for several
characters.
*Intense, significant conflict over oil and water; "water
rights"
*New inventions relating to water (eg: as an energy source)
Saturn in Cancer from
June 4th 2003 and for next 2+ years
*Possibility of drought breaking in Australia but nevertheless
water restrictions remain in force for some time to come; a new
respect for water and new rules relating to its domestic provision
and use
UPDATE 2004: dam levels are apparently on the rise however
water restrictions - and paying increased prices for water -
are here to stay
*Fierce global desire for "protection" of homes and
families bringing attitudes to war and immigration/asylum-seekers
into sharp focus
*Real estate/property market/domestic products begin to feel
the pinch; prices drop
UPDATE 2004: Statistics show housing market cooling noticeably,
2005: new home building slowing
*All forms of "insurance" undergo restructuring
UPDATE 203/4 : numerous major insurance and superannuation
companies have been in the spotlight for loss of member's funds,
necessitating re-structure, buy-outs and take-overs
*Another push to introduce a National ID system in Australia
UPDATE JULY 2005: Prime Minister Howard announces this issue
is back on the National agenda in order to curb terrorism
*A reformation of the World Bank & possibly the World Trade
Organization. The World Bank was initially called "The International
Bank for Reconstruction & Development" and was formed
in the 1940's when Saturn was also in Cancer
*A slooooow move away from "doom and gloom" media and
negative campaigning
UPDTE 2004: American Presidency Election Campaign (John Kerry/George
W. Bush) hallmarked by stated desire to cease negative campaigning
tactics
*Marked increase in family-oriented activities/films/TV series/recreation
Uranus in Pisces &
Neptune in Aquarius = "Mutual Reception" a once in
3,600 year event (each planet occupying the other's natural home
ground)
*Watch for an increase in oil spills or oil slicks, or a way
in which sudden/unexpected or mysterious "floods of fluids"
impact on the environment; look for increased incidents relating
specifically to drugs & alcohol
UPDATE JULY 2005: Flash flooding on the Gold Coast and in
Nthn. NSW creates extensive damage and some loss of life, called
"a once in 1,000 year event", more than 495 ml of rain
falling in one 24 hr period; December 2004: Tsunami in the Indian
Ocean devastates parts of Thailand, Sir Lanka and surrounding
islands with massive flooding, destruction and loss of life.
Official death toll now sits at around 300,000 lost souls. No
warnings issued.
May 2003: Mysterious oil slick in Bayside Melbourne around March
2003; Flash suburban floods in Sydney May 2003
*A mass rejection of commercialism and globalisation; the death
of the "Brand Name Ideal" which makes a few people
rich and the rest of us look like ..... clones
*"Science Playing God" brings new crises in the face-off
between technology and spirituality/religion
*A crucial and conscious shift in the "ideals of the collective"
bringing a new & more hopeful meaning to the word "globalisation"
*An increase in the popularity, availability of & interest
in Mediumship in general & in the number of people able to
successfully perform this function (example: John Edward &
his style of psychic communication); "average" people
being able to communicate in this way
*Legalised "Serial Monogamy" replaces traditional marriage
& de facto relationship arrangements; partners "sign
up" with each other for a contracted term at the end of
which they decide whether or not to "renew" their agreement
*There's a shift from the "Space Program" to a "Marine
