Such a large audience gathered for
the reconciliation meeting on the Sunday, the walls of the tent had to
be raised for people standing outside to get a look-in. The gathering consisted
of tales and songs from indigenous and white people alike; from musicians,
to poets, to pastoralists, to people who were simply concerned. There were
more than a few tears shed and much happiness and voiced approval for the
hope that reconciliation could be achieved; that the future would shine
like the sun outside. I was one of the latecomers, as this photo shows. |
Playing with a firestick. The festival
was full of people getting into their own thing and entertaining anyone
who cared to become an audience. Mostly, I just amused the children from
the neighbouring tent every time I lost control of the stick and hit their
parent's car.
Another Weddings,
Parties, Anything shot. This time Jen shows Mike the way it's done.

Even on the last day, when
many of the people and bands had gone their own way, to rest and recover,
or to find new venues and festivals, Steve and I find something to concern
ourselves over, "Another Guinness or not?"
