About The Artist
Let me introduce myself….my name is Padma Thadani. Welcome to my gallery! I have been an artist for the last 5 years, with a special interest in painting, drawing and web design. In particular, I take pleasure in painting landscapes, flowers and still life objects. My preferred media to work with are oil paints as I enjoy working with textures that are rich, vibrant and versatile. I find painting to be incredibly inspirational, gratifying and not to mention, relaxing. I am constantly attending regular painting classes and workshops with renowned artists of different styles to further develop and diversify my artistic technique. I believe art can be expressed in many various forms, whether it is using traditional brushes to paint or creating digital art – the key is that it requires creativity, designing skills, and most importantly passion and genuine interest. Exploring diverse art forms is a continuous journey of learning which is something I ardently enjoy – I love learning new styles and techniques of art to broaden my horizons and take my skills to another dimension. Through the completion of my multimedia qualifications, I have developed a strong interest in designing WebPages. Here was a unique opportunity to combine my love for oil painting and multimedia! My first project has been to create and design a website for my gallery for all my friends and family to view. In creating this website, I have used different software applications including Macromedia Dreamweaver, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash and Fireworks. The expression of art - on canvas or electronically – is a something I find thoroughly exciting and challenging.
