O'Loughlin is author of "Anchor Under the Southern Cross" which
details the history and descendants of Cornelius and Ann O'Loughlin,
immigrants from Clare, Ireland, who arrived in Australia in 1842 and 1850
respectively. Cornelius, from near Ennistymon arrived on the ship
"Thetis" and Ann (Barry), from Kilkee arrived with her
parents and other members of her family aboard the
"Ascendant". They married in 1853 and were South
Australian pioneer farmers.
And so the O'Loughlin Anchor of Cornelius and Ann is now firmly
planted beneath the Southern Cross.
