Text Box: Oaklee Aviaries is a backyard-run aviary complex. We have been breeding red rumps for the past seven years. We have a fascination with the colour mutations in parrots, therefore we specialise in red rumps and their mutations. Our aim is to breed quality birds and introduce new mutations.  All our birds are housed in suspended aviaries and individually paired to produce specific colours. Currently, we have 25 breeding pairs of red rumps in a number of different colour mutations, including opaline, greygreen and pied versions of platinum, lime and lutino series birds. We have also started a breeding program of the western rosella. At present we only have normal, red backed and blue mutations. With this website, our aim is to share our knowledge and expertise in breeding and the genetics of the colour mutations of red rumps.
