How to submit a paper:

  • Papers on any aspect of Comparative and Ecological Physiology and Biochemistry of Animals are encouraged.
  • Titles and abstracts of Registered Delegates should be sent to the Organising Committee.
  • Please submit your paper to the Organising Committee regardless of whether you have been contacted by an organiser/session chair.
  • Your paper will be assigned to an appropriate theme session by the Organising Committee.
  • Submission of oral and poster papers, and abstracts, will be through the internet or Email. The forms will also be available to down load and submit by mail or FAX.

Publication of papers from the meeting:

  • The Organising Committee has agreed with Elsevier Publishing to submit papers for publishing in a 'conference volume' of Comparative Physiology and Biochemistry.
  • Manuscripts will be solicited for both Oral and Poster Papers.
  • The papers will be peer reviewed.

Structure and organisation of the meeting:

  • The meeting will be organised similar to the previous meeting in Skukuza, Kruger National Park.
  • On the evening of arrival there will be a welcoming social including a full meal at the Chobe Safari Lodge (included in registration fee).
  • The day after arrival (Sunday) is held free for social activities and informal business.
  • The Conference Venue for papers will be both the Chobe Safari Lodge and Mowana Safari Lodge.
  • The Scientific Programme will normally start at 7 am and complete at approximately 1.30 pm - with a comfortable tea/coffee-break mid-way through.
  • With the exception of a few plenary papers, presentation time for oral papers will initially be 20 min.
  • There will be some parallel sessions but oral presentation slots are limited.
  • There will be a part session an evening dedicated to Poster-Presentations associated with a meal at the Mowana Safari Lodge (included in registration fee).
  • All posters will be presented in this single session and will be available for viewing throughout the meeting from Monday to Thursday.
  • A conference dinner will be held on the Thursday evening at the Chobe Safari Lodge (included in registration fee)

Your paper:

  • Generally oral papers will be assigned time as registrations arrive with the Organisers.
  • The organisers will give as much notice as possible in the event that the oral paper slots become fully allocated.
  • Presenters of both poster papers and oral papers are asked to provide a manuscript for publication in the conference volume.
  • The sessions, themes and their organisers will not be finally determined until immediately prior to meeting. If your intended paper does not fall within the currently listed provisional sessions you should nonetheless submit it with your registration to the organisers.
  • Poster presentations will also be assigned to session themes.
  • Papers will be assigned to an appropriate session by the organisers and session chairpersons.
  • Delegates registering after February 1 should enquire as to whether space in the program is available
