Drives will depart from the lodges before 3 and will return before 6 pm.

The cost provides for the vehicle, guide, park entry fee and a packed lunch meal.
NOTE: These prices are based on the advised park entry fee for the year 2000. In the event that the National Parks authorities elect to make a further increase in 2001, delegates will be offered the opportunity to pay a surcharge or accept a refund. A minimum number of people are required for a game drive and refunds will otherwise only be possible if cancellations do not reduce participants below this number.
Delegates will be able pre-book for up to two afternoon game drives (the two other afternoons being available for cruises), any extra places will be sold through the registration desk.
Delegates staying at the Chobe Safari Lodge will be guided by Go Wild Safaris the Mowana will be guests of the renowned "InTo Africa Safaris" and will be able to customise their pre-booked game viewing through the registration desk.

The game drives are of 2 - 3 hour duration and cover the denser vegetation near the Chobe River. August is the end of the dry season when game concentrates along the river bank. The extremely large number of elephant in Chobe Park have severly modified the local vegetation but this can facilitate viewing of game. Delegates staying at the Mowana will be guests of the renowned "InTo Africa Safaris".

Game drive operators at the lodges use a variety of 4WD vehicles ranging from large group 'overlander' type trucks to more personalised land cruisers.

Delegates will be pre-booked on drives and cruises from the operator at the lodge where they are resident since the Hotel's policy does not cover guests for MRI when using outside operators.
