1 shot Guinness stout beer
Directions: Pour Guinness into a chilled flute. Add champagne slowly.

1 ½ shots sweet vermouth
¾ shot Pernod
¾ shot creme de cassis
Directions: Shake ingredients with cracked ice; strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a thin slice of lemon.

Blarney
2 shots Irish whiskey
1 shot sweet vermouth
Directions: Stir ingredients with cracked ice; strain into a chilled Old Fashioned glass. Garnish with
a twist of lemon. (Or go nuts and try a cherry twist. You're man enough.)


Bloody Mary
1 ½ shots vodka
3 shots tomato juice
1 squeeze fresh lemon
3-5 drops Worcestershire sauce
3-5 drops Tabasco (hot) sauce
Several shakes of freshly ground pepper
1 dash of celery salt
1 tsp. horseradish sauce (preferable freshly grated)
Directions: Stir with ice; pour into old-fashioned glass filled with ice. Garnish with celery stalk.

Blue Bird Cocktail
1 shot gin
½ shot blue curacao
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Directions: Shake with cracked ice; strain into chilled small cocktail glass.

Blue Boy
2 shots dark rum
¾ shot sweet vermouth
½ shot orange juice
1 dash Angostura Bitters
Directions: Shake ingredients with cracked ice. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange wheel.

Blue Monday
2 shots vodka
¾ shot blue curacao

Directions: Stir ingredients with cubed ice; strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.

Bobby Burns Cocktail
1 shot scotch
1 shot sweet vermouth
3 dashes Benedictine
Directions: Shake with cracked ice; strain into chilled cocktail glass; twist lemon peel into drink.

Brainstorm
2 shots Irish whiskey
2 dashes Benedictine
2 dashes dry vermouth

Directions: Shake ingredients with cracked ice; strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange twist. (Go completely crazy and garnish with a sliver of dried apricot.)

Brandy Alexander
¾ shot brandy
¾ shot crème de cacao
½ shot fresh cream
Directions: Shake with cracked ice; strain into shallow chilled cocktail glass. You could substitute dark rum for brandy to give the thing a real-man's kick. You could also forgo the cream in favor of half-and-half for those who'd rather put on the pounds hammering down a rare side of prime rib.

Bronx Cocktail
1 shot gin
½ shot sweet vermouth
½ shot dry vermouth
1 shot fresh-squeezed orange juice
Directions: Shake with cracked ice; strain into chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a cherry or small orange wedge. If you're using a concentrated orange juice in lieu of fresh-squeezed, you may eliminate the ½ shot of sweet vermouth


Bumper
1 ½ shots white rum
¼ shot gin
Dash lemon juice
Directions: Shake ingredients with cracked ice; strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Buster Brown Cocktail
2 shots bourbon
¾ shot lemon juice
½ teaspoon sugar
2 dashes orange Bitters
Directions: Shake with cracked ice; strain into chilled cocktail glass.

 


 Shake well with ice; strain into chilled cocktail glass. Pinch nutmeg over top.


Mix the rum and Coke swiftly in a chilled bucket-style glass. Add 3 cubes of ice. This drink requires the crisp snap of good (old-fashioned) Coke-a-Cola. Garner with lemon peel, optional. This drink, obviously, is identical to the old standard Rum & Coke.


Shake ingredients with cracked ice. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. The grenadine should be barely visible/tasteable.


Stir with ice and strain into a High ball glass. Add 3 ice cubes and fill with soda water.


Put dash of grenadine in bottom of collins glass. Shake rest of ingredients well with cracked ice. Strain into collins glass. Garnish with cherry and orange slice.


 Stir all ingredients with ice. Strain into a chilled tumbler filled with ice. Garnish with any red fruit (preferably a strawberry, cherry or 2 raspberries on a tiny skewer.)

  • 1 1/2 oz. Sherry
  • 1 1/2 oz. French Vermouth
  • 2 dashes Orange Bitters

    Shake well with cracked ice. Strain into cocktail glass.

  • 1 oz. Banana Liqueur
  • 1 oz. Light Creme de Cacao
  • 1 oz. Dark Creme de Cacao

    Mix ingredients in old-fashioned glass over ice. Stir well.


  • Banana Banshee

  • 1 oz. White Creme de Cacao
  • 1 oz. Banana Liqueur
  • 1 oz. Cream

    Shake well with cracked ice. Strain into cocktail glass.


  • Banana Boat

  • 1 1/2 oz. Tequila
  • 1/2 oz. Banana Liqueur
  • 1 oz. Lime Juice

    Blend with 2 oz. crushed ice until smooth. Pour into sour glass.


  • Banana Daiquiri

  • 1 1/2 oz. Light Rum
  • 1 tbsp. Triple Sec
  • Juice of 1/2 Lime
  • 1 tsp. Sugar
  • 1 slice Banana

    Mix with shaved ice in electric blender until desired consistency. Pour unstrained into cocktail glass.


  • Banana Margarita

  • 3/4 oz. Tequila
  • 3/4 oz. Triple Sec
  • 3/4 oz. Lime or Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 oz. Banana Liqueur

    Shake well with cracked ice. Rub rim of cocktail glass with rind of lime or lemon. Dip rim in salt. Strain into cocktail glass.


  • Banana Milk Shake

  • 1 Banana 1/2 pt. Milk
  • 1 tsp. Honey

    Combine in blender. Blend at low speed until smooth. Pour into an Old Fashioned glass


  • Banana Moo

  • 1 1/2 oz. Banana Liqueur
  • 1 1/2 oz. Cream

    Shake well with cracked ice. Strain into old fashioned glass filled with ice.


  • Banana Smoothie

  • 8 oz. Orange Juice (cold)
  • 1 Banana (peeled)

    Combine in blender. Blend at low speed. Garnish with assorted fruit.


  • Banana Split

  • 1 1/2 oz. Banana Liqueur
  • 3/4 oz. White Creme de Cacao
  • 3/4 oz. Creme de Noyaux
  • 3 dashes Cherry Brandy
  • dash Milk

    Blend all except Cherry Brandy with 3 oz. ice until smooth. Pour into mug. Top with Cherry Brandy and a cherry.


  • Banana Tree

  • 1 oz. Banana Liqueur
  • 1/2 oz. white Creme de Cacao
  • 1/2 oz. Galliano
  • 1/2 Peeled Banana
  • 5 oz. Vanilla Ice Cream
  • 4 drops Vanilla Extract

    Blend all with 1/4 cup ice until smooth. Pour into large wineglass. Garnish with banana slices.

  • 12 oz. Light Rum
  • 12 oz. Dark Rum
  • 44 oz. Pineapple Juice
  • 12 oz. Mango Juice
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 8 oz. Lime Juice
  • 8 Peeled Bananas
  • 2 Limes

    "Blend 6 bananas, lime juice and sugar until smooth. Pour over block of ice into punch bowl. Pour in Rum, pineapple juice and mango juice stirring well. Refrigerate for 1 hour. Slice 2 bananas and limes into thin slices. Float fruit on top and serve"

    "Rub the sugar over the lemons until it has absorbed all the yellow parts of the skins, then put the sugar into the punch bowl. Add boiling water, stirring well. Add Rum and Brandy. Sprinkle nutmeg on top. Serves 15."

  • 1 1/2 oz. Brandy
  • 3 dashes Gum Syrup
  • 2 dashes Angostura
  • 2 dashes Lemon Juice

    "Using a lemon, peel the rind from it all in one piece. Fit the rind into the glass, covering the entire inside. Run a slice of lemon around the edge, and dip the glass into powdered sugar. Shake well with shaved ice and strain into glass."

  • 1/2 tspn. Powdered Syrup
  • 2 dashes Curacoa
  • Juice of 1/2 Lemon
  • 2 dashes Orange Cordial

    Shake well without ice. Pour into cocktail glass containing shaved ice. Stir with a spoon. Dress with fruits and a sprig of mint.


  • Brandy Eggnog (punch)

  • 1 fifth Brandy
  • 3 oz. Rum
  • 8 Eggs
  • 1 pint Heavy Cream
  • 1 quart Milk
  • 1/2 pound Sugar

    Beat yolks and whites of eggs seperately. Add sugar to egg whites and beat until stiff. Combine yolks and whites and mix thoroughly. Add Rum and Brandy. Beat mixture. Add cream and milk. Mix. Chill well. Serve with a light sprinkling of nutmeg

    Shake well all but milk with cracked ice and strain into collins glass. Fill with milk. Sprinkle nutmeg on top.


  • Brandy Fix

  • 2 1/2 oz. Brandy
  • Juice of 1/2 Lemon
  • 1 tsp. Powdered Sugar
  • 1 tsp. Water

    Mix sugar with lemon juice and water in highball glass until sugar has dissolved. Fill glass with ice and add Brandy. Stir. Garnish with slice of lemon and serve with straws.


  • Brandy Flip

  • 1 1/2 oz. Brandy
  • 1 tbsp. Sugar
  • 1 beaten Egg

    Shake well with cracked ice and strain into sour glass. Sprinkle nutmeg on top.


  • Brandy Punch

  • 3 quarts Brandy
  • 1/2 pint Rum
  • 1 gallon Water
  • 2 pounds Sugar
  • juice of 6 Lemons
  • 3 sliced Oranges
  • 1 sliced Pineapple
  • 4 oz. Curacoa
  • 8 oz. Raspberry Syrup

    Mix and serve with plenty of ice. Serves 20.


  • Brandy Sangaree

  • 1 1/2 oz. Brandy
  • dash Port
  • 1/4 glass Shaved Ice
  • 1 1/2 oz. Water
  • 1 tsp. Sugar

    Stir well all but Port. Add dash of Port on top.


  • Brandy Scaffa

  • 1 1/2 oz. Maraschino
  • 1 1/2 oz. Green Chartreuse
  • 1 1/2 oz. Brandy

    Pour in order into wine glass keeping ingredients seperate like a pousse cafe.


  • Brandy Sling (cold)

  • 2 oz. Brandy
  • 1 tsp. Powdered Sugar
  • 1 tsp. Water
  • Juice of 1/2 Lemon

    Dissolve sugar in water and lemon juice. Add Brandy. Pour into old fashioned glass over ice. Stir. Garnish with twist of lemon peel.


  • Brandy Sling (hot)

  • 2 oz. Brandy
  • 1 tsp. Powdered Sugar
  • 1 tsp. Hot Water
  • Juice of 1/2 Lemon

    Dissolve sugar in water and lemon juice. Add Brandy. Pour into old fashioned glass. Stir. Sprinkle grated nutmeg on top.


  • Brandy Smash

  • 1 1/2 oz. Brandy
  • 1 oz. Water
  • 1 tbsp. Powdered Sugar
  • 2-3 springs Fresh Mint

    Muddle mint and sugar with 2 oz. shaved ice. Add Brandy and water. Strain into sour glass. Garnish with fruit.


  • Brandy Sour

  • 1 1/2 oz. Brandy
  • juice of 1/2 Lemon or Lime
  • 1 tsp. Sugar
  • dash Seltzer

    Shake well with cracked ice. Strain into sour glass. Decorate with 1/2 slice lemon.


  • Brandy Toddy (cold)

  • 1 1/2 oz. Brandy
  • 1 lump Sugar
  • 1 cube Ice

    Stir well and serve.


  • Brandy Toddy (hot)

  • 1 1/2 oz. Brandy
  • 1 sliced Lemon
  • 1 lump Sugar
  • 4 oz. Boiling Water

    "Combine and stir well. Sprinkle with ground nutmeg, add cloves and cinnamon stick."


  • Brass Blonde

  • 1 1/2 oz. Whiskey
  • 1 1/2 oz. Grapefruit Juice
  • 1 tsp. Strawberry Liqueur
  • 1 oz. Club Soda

    Fill collins glass with ice. Add all but club soda. Stir. Top with club soda and stir again.


  • Brass Monkey

  • 1/2 oz. Vodka
  • 1/2 oz. Light Rum
  • Orange Juice

    Fill highball glass with ice. Add Vodka and Rum. Fill with orange juice. Stir well.


  • Breakfast Eggnog

  • 1 oz. Brandy
  • 1/2 oz. Curacao
  • 1 Egg
  • Milk

  • Broadwalk

  • 1 1/2 oz. Dark Rum
  • 1/2 oz. Banana Liqueur
  • 1/2 oz. Lime Juice
  • 4 oz. Pineapple Juice
  • dash Grenadine

    "Shake well all but Grenadine with cracked ice and strain into collins glass. Add ice, top with grenadine. Garnish with cherry and orange slice."


  • Bronx

  • 1 oz. Gin
  • 1/2 oz. Dry Vermouth
  • 1/2 oz. Sweet Vermouth
  • 1 oz. Orange Juice

    Shake well with cracked ice. Strain into cocktail glass. Can decorate with 1/2 slice orange.


  • Bubble Gum

  • 1/4 Vodka
  • 1/4 Banana Liqueur
  • 1/4 Peach Schnapps
  • 1/4 Orange Juice

    Mix in shot glass and drink.


  • Bull Frog

  • 1 1/2 oz. Vodka
  • Limeade

    Add ingredients to highball glass filled with ice. Stir well.


  • Burnside

  • 1 1/2 oz. Gin
  • 3/4 oz. French Vermouth
  • 1/4 oz. Italian Vermouth
  • 2 dashes Bitters
  • 1 tbls. Brandy

    Shake well with cracked ice. Strain into cocktail glass.


  • Burnt Brandy & Peaches

  • 1 1/2 oz. Brandy
  • 2 lumps Sugar
  • 3 Peach Slices

    Place 3 peach slices in a cocktail glass. Burn the Brandy and sugar together in a saucer. Extinguish the Brandy and pour the burnt liquid over the peach slices and serve.
