Zoids are fantastic toys, which you put together like a model, but after which will normally wind up or do something interesting. They never cease to amaze me in their intricate design and the mechanics involved, not to mention how incredibly accurate to the TV show they are (something I always like ^_^). In short the toys are miniature works of art and extremely cool! And here you can read reviews on the toys I own, either out of interest or to help you decide if you want buy them yourself :P

These are my Zoids (the ones underlined already have their reviews written), I don't own all the Zoids toys there are, and will only be writing reviews on the ones I own, so if it isn't listed here I probably don't have it, sorry. However, when I do get more Zoids, I will update the list :)

Zoid Action Figures:

Command Wolf AC

Number: #042

Model length: 13.5 cm (about 5.5 inches)

Model height: 10 cm (about four inches)

Zoid alignment: Helic Republic

Comments:

Brad's command wolf in action figure form! Complete with a tiny Brad Hunter figure :)

Appearance:

Not too different from the model or the version as seen in ZNC, and though the details are less sharp than the model most of them seem to be present. The hind legs on mine curve in toward each other, making it less stable than it could be, but otherwise it's a reasonably accurate version of the AC Command wolf.

Movement:

Pushing down on the smoke dispensers (or 'guns on back' as the instructions like to call them) will activate the 'Springing Attack' making your command wolf's paws move up while its head and neck moves down. Also, both weapons fire a good two meters with my command wolf, though this may vary from toy to toy, and you can fire them individually as well.

Poseability: Since it's an action figure, and not a model, and therefor lacks a motorized movement, it is reasonably poseable instead. The back legs rotate, the tail moves up and down, and with some coaxing the mouth opens and almost shuts. You can also click the head and front paws into the 'Springing attack' position and have them stay like that (and click them back to normal) though I'm not sure what that would do to the toy over time or how safe it is to do so. Also, the real weapons on its back (those that fire) or rather the weapons array rotates around or can be set at an angle, and a piece on top of that is adjustable as well. The pilot canopy also opens and closes :)

Durability:

Owing to the way the weapons on the action figure attach I doubt it'd suffer the same problem as the model of the same Zoid, unless the missiles snap I'd say it seems a fairly durable figure.

Over all:

In a lot of ways I prefer the model version of this zoid, though the action figure is still a good enough representation of Brad's command wolf that most fans will be happy with it, plus you don't have to worry about the back weapon breaking off :) The 'Springing attack' (their words, not mine) is an alright action for a Zoid action figure to have, and better than some, though nothing that fantastic. The range on the fireable weapons is awesome however, and I like the ability to fire the missiles separately.

Microids:

Blireg

Microid length: 8 cm (about 3 inches)

Microid height: 4.5 cm (just under two inches)

Remote control measurements: About 6 cm long (I bit over two inches), and 5 cm wide (2 inches)

Comments:

One of three microids I know of (the others being Lideron which seems liger life, and Norgen a rhino), a remote control steerable zoid which roars and makes walking sounds (as well as those it actually makes walking). It comes with its own control and is not a model, so no assembly is required.

Appearance:

It seems to resemble several of the tiger/liger zoids melded together without copying them completely, but with dark blue 'armour' on a grey base/body with grey claws and yellow stripes on each paw, its tail, and around its body, and a black battery case. The eyes of the microid are dark grey when it's off or idle and glowing red when it's switched on and moving. The control itself matches the microid in terms of having dark blue sections, but most of the control is black.

Movement:

It's legs shuffle backwards and forwards in sync to make it move, as opposed to larger zoids which are built and which walk. There are little squares of gripping rubber on its hind legs that help give it enough grip to move along. The remote control has two buttons with arrows indicating what they do, pressing one will make the microid move more or less forward and roar, and the other will make it turn left in circles and make walking sounds. Using both of these you can steer the microid well enough to navigate it around a house. It runs on most flat surfaces but has problems with some really slippery ones or thick carpet.

The actual sounds it makes come from the control :)

Poseability:

The jaw opens and closes varying degrees and you can move the tail up and down also :)

Durability:

Mine's had a few accidents and been fine, I wouldn't be too rough on it though, the tail could break off and I have no idea how the electronics inside work, so knocking them about mightn't be a good idea.

Over all:

For it's size it's incredible, the roaring and zoid walking noises are not bad in terms of electronic sound effects, and that it's remote control and steerable, and runs on a lot of surfaces other zoids can't, but is still small enough to fit in a pocket is cool.

In terms of looks I like it the most out of all three microids though that's personal preference, and I still wish the tail was longer.
