The Garden Quests *Discussion Thread*

Hey everyone, here is an RPG based off of Final Fantasy 8. You are a student in Momenti Garden, you will be sent out on missions with other Garden students around the world (Yes, its the FF8 world.) But in the meantime you'll be hanging out at your Garden and attend your classes and interact with other students. You will be sent on missions with the people you interact with most at the Garden.

You can create relationships, friendships, or just be a lone wolf. You create yuor own storyline with other players. Basically, your in the millitary or Garden just like in FF8. Remember, all of this effects how well you do on a mission, cause the ultimate goal of your character is to become an official SeeD.

There will be certain events happening in the storyline that your character might be faced with. I.E. I will post a peacemaker post, meaning ooc, of something happening in the world, and you can choose to pursue those events, but you run the risk of lowering your SeeD rank. (Or maybe raise it...depends how you interact andwh oyou get to tag along)

When you start the game, you are a first year student. That means you know nothing, and your fighting skills are weak (Go to the training room). The only character with some power (and experienced Garden student is ME)... meaning she's been at the Garden for a few weeks, BUT its YOUR first day) will be mine cause she'll be helping to move the story along.

Here are the weapons you can choose from. You need to choose one of these, but you can design its look all you want:

Gunblades:
Taught by: Squall Lionheart and Seifer Almasy

Gunblades are one of the finest weapons to use, but also the toughest to master. A beautiful sword is constructed with a gun mechinism that fires a bulet at just the right second in battle. Gunblades can be customized to your liking. Taught by Seifer and Squall, two of the Garden's more favorable instructors.

Must be between 5'6" and 6'3" of height. Your starting weight should be anything from 130 pounds and up.

Chakrams:
Taught by: Fujin Summers
Weapon Bio:
Chakrams are weighted pinweels that can be tossed or thrown at the enemy much like a boomerrang, but they return immediately. They can be anything rom simple circles to sharp tipped fighting machines.

Nun-Chucks:

--------

If you'll notice, the original FF8 characters work at the Garden, you may interact with them if you wish in your story.

***Important:
Look at the classes. When you design a character the height/weight takes into account what weapon you can use. Can you really see skinny Selephie picking up a fifty pound gunblade? Nah, didn't think so. Be careful when designing your char.

This RPG will span a time of four years, and then it will end. Meaning, periods of the game, after a few missions and whatnot, I'll post that a year has passed. Your character must be a SeeD before four years is up, otherwise its a gameover for you.

Basics:

*When you least expect it you will be thrown into missions with other students to test your skills. These are students you may or may not know, (Some might be NPC's) but you shall do your best to act accordingly. You will hear a message over a loud speaker, you will then report to the proper area, discover your mission and go there accordingly. One of you will be put in charge depending on skill.

*You (the player) should also build a story from your time at the Garden through the four years.................maybe ultima isn't really gone. Maybe Seifer really isn't good. Could Squal be evil? You make the decisions, its your story. You are the warrior.

*When you become a SeeD, you will also be sent on missions, but with different groups of people and for longer periods of time. To become a SeeD, you have to be really prepared on normal missions. When you become a SeeD, a party is thrown in your honor....you are excpected to bring a date and dress appropriately!

The Garden:

*GQ = Garden Quests

*First year student must be between the ages of 14-18. All students at the age of 21 will be released from the Garden reguardless of position and years.

*The GQ will run a span of four years. At the end of four years some wil graduate and others will fail. It all depends on how you conduct yourself on missions and who you make friends/love interests with at the Garden.

*First year students are to be treated equally, no pushing them around regardless of age.

*Read all the rules before playing. Result in doing so will mess you up, and you might not get the weapon you really want.

*If you conduct yourself properly on missions and at the Garden, you will be promoted to a SeeD. SeeD's are on a whole different level then the rest of the students. They are stronger and more powerful. I will post when I see you are fit to become a SeeD.

*You must make friends and allies in the Garden. Your teachers and seniors are watching your every move....the people you do missions with just might be your best friend or your worst enemy!

*Momenti Garden is on an island in the middle of the ocean all alone. You have to take a boat to get too and from it, and it seems to be in the perfect place to reach every city and town. (We are using the map from FF8, k?)

*The Garden is a complete circle, spanning nine floors full of dorms, libraries, mess halls, training areas, class rooms and many other places. The garden has its own private fleet of ships and airships that you will use in missions. Please take care not to get lost your first day! Thank you!

Headmaster: Squall Lionheart
Headmistress: Rinoa Lionheart
Head Doctor: Lee Kadowaki

Extra:

*You will be paired with another player in a bunk. When you become a SeeD you will recieve your own private room.

*After you post a profile, you will be told who you will be bunked with. (When the rpg is just about ready to start, I'll post room arrangements)

*You are excepted to treat your roomie with respect, and maybe even become friends....or enemies.

*Keep your room neat and orderly. There wil be checks often. Do not leave weapons lying about.

* There in NO MAGIC in this rpg!!!!

No SIGS IN THE THREADS!!!
