XD Naraku watched patiently as the false Kagome re-entered the area with her friends. It certainly didn’t take long for the situation’s tension to rise. The empty expression upon his face continued a gradual transformation into a frown. So the others were catching on. It didn’t take them nearly as long as Naraku had hoped. It wouldn’t be much longer before his own scent upon the puppet overcame the scent of Kagome left on it’s clothes altogether.. they had several hours at most. “If you’re gonna go off and get yourself killed, then it’ll be that much harder to find the jewel shards without out you!” Inuyasha shouted rudely at the puppet, in retaliation to an argument that had abruptly flared up between the two. Naraku could feel the angry urges welling up within his puppet. They were strong enough that he himself wanted to reach into the images projected in his head and attack the arrogant dog youkai. He quickly separated the puppet’s anger from his own emotions, and spoke calmly through his thoughts, “Calm down... you can still play this off....”. He felt the puppet’s temper slowly quell. Naraku continued to watch as the puppet headed into town in search of the old woman, Kaede. He sighed and muttered to himself, “One possible disaster averted.. but how many more to go?” If things edged too close to a premature battle again, he would have to take over completely. “Shimatta... they're on to me... I have to act quickly...” the fake Kagome thought to herself. Naraku, hearing nearly all that went through the puppet’s mind replied, “Just find the woman and take the shards. Use them to your benefit and Inuyasha should be easy enough prey if you catch him and his companions off guard.. as long as you finish before Kagome’s scent is gone. If you do this right you may even have a reward upon your return – just don’t loose your temper again. ”. |
