Another son James Edward was born in 1918 and was killed in action on HMS Hood in 1942. We are still in touch with the family of Myra in the UK and Canada, May in Portsmouth, Dorothy's family in Melbourne and Grace's family in Australia, thanks to the internet.

John Gledhill died in Redcar, Yorkshire in 1939 at the age of 65 and Blanche Eveline lived with Norah and family and died in Portsmouth in 1950 at the age of 76



Annie Gledhill believed to be on extreme right of picture in third row. She served in the Queen Alexandra's Imperial Military Nursing Service and died on Thursday, 17th October 1918 aged 43 and is buried in the Gaza War Cemetery, Israel. We have a letter written to Annie by her father James Edward Gledhill and dated 6 February, 1896. This letter was kindly copied by Nan Archibald now living in Canada and a descendant of James Edward Gledhill.
