Welcome to Lyn and Len's Home Page

We now have the time to find out more about our ancestors and where they came from.
With names like Davies and Smith, that is not easy.  Lyn was born in Warrnambool and I
was born in Dyffryn Cellwen, a mining  village at the top end of the Dulais Valley in South Wales.

The Smith family left Australia in 1937 after Lyn's father lost his arm in a woollen mill accident.
Len joined the Royal Navy in 1943 and met Lyn in London in 1944. We were married in
July 1947.  For 36 years we lived in Stanmore, Middlesex and and then we emigrated to
Australia in 1983 to join the children who had already emigrated.
We now live in a retirement village in Heathcote, a suburb south of Sydney.
