TOOLS => WORD COUNT is just that, it counts the words in your document.
Very handy for assignments or reports with a word limit.
The next TOOL is AUTO SUMMARISE. It sorts through headings and the main
information and gives you a quick idea of what the document is about. Now,
like many of the tools, it is not fail safe and it has its hiccups, but it
gives you a good head start.
TRACK CHANGES is an excellent tool for proofing your work. It really comes
into play if you are proofing someone else's work, or they are going over
yours. Each change you make is marked on the page, but the old information is
left there. Then you can go through each change and approve it. Or you can let
the old text stay.
Looking over the changes for things you always get wrong can be a solid
learning experience.
MERGE DOCUMENTS allows you to take two different documents, say something
you and a friend have been working on separately, and merge them together.
Common areas are left the same and you can add or subtract differences.
This is very handy if someone has changed a document on you, and you're not
sure where.
