Business Computing Tips

You can find out the properties of a file through windows explorer (not the
one you surf the web with, the other one), or by opening it and going FILE
=> PROPERTIES.
So why would you?
Ever written anything and then changed it around a bit in a second document
and then forgotten which one was the original? File properties gives you the
dates it was created, and changed.
Ever been at work where you've opened a document and found it changed but
you didn't do it. File properties can tell you which computer did. normally
that will help work out which person that was.
It also gives you a quick run down on the size of the document so you know
if you can fit it on a floppy disc, or email it easily.
And you can leave yourself notes there as well. There is normally a summary
tab, that allows you to write comments. This is useful if you want to remind
yourself where a document fits in to a series without writing it where a
casual reader can see it.

Please feel free to pass it on to your friends, just let them know I wrote
it.
