Frames allow you to split your page so you can keep links to all of the
pages down one side and the page you are reading at the moment on the other.
They are most often used on webpages. You can also add a table of contents to
them automatically, (see table
of contents.)
You can chose to put the frame on the top, bottom, left and/or right or any
combination of the above. Clicking on FORMAT=> NEW FRAMES PAGE, lets you
get started. here you can add pages, or delete them just by clicking.
Properties allows you adjust the frames. The FRAME tab allows you to pick
which page goes into that part of the page, and the size, allows you to pick
what size the frame should be, i.e. 205 of your page.
The BORDERS tab, allows you to make it so the frames can't move, or so
people can scroll them up/down or sideways. it also allows you to make the
frames invisible or put a coloured border of various sizes around them.
Next week: more formatting.
