Business Computing Tips

Many Formatting options, give you the chance to change their colour. Some only have limited options, but for most, you will be offered quite a wide choice.

If you don't see what you want straight, click on the More Colours option and it will give you a wider choice. If you want it exact, click on the Custom tab, and you can type in the exact hues you want.

The main thing to remember with colour is that no-one's computer shows colour exactly the same way. Subtle variations are often lost, so don't spend hours over it unless you are doing something for a specialist printer.

Many of your documents may be read on the screen. Don't get so lost in the prettiness of it, that it becomes impossible to read. Many people can not read light colours well, especially yellows. Try to avoid using them unless you have a dark background.

Patterns also make things harder to read. For most things, less is most definitely more.
