AMS Redfern Linedancers set a shining example!

"The wonderful women who started the AMS linedancing classes just over one year ago have excelled themselves.

They had a purpose during the festival to dance for health and dance they did. They danced in the street daily, they danced as invited guests at local Aboriginal gatherings, they danced by special invitation at linedance functions and parties and they danced on the back of a truck in the street parade featuring Australia's best in country music.

The National Linedance Championship Competition opened up a new novice section this year and the AMS Linedancers Redfern competed and won first place bringing home the gold .......I think they surprised themselves, I bet it will be a while before their beautiful smiles fade.....they have all worked extremely hard and deserve all the glory they can get.

They have come a long way from their breathless beginnings. I can only see bigger and better things awaiting this enthusiastic team. It is an honour to be working with them as their instructor".
