Boarding your pet
We require current vaccinations for all dogs and cats that stay with us. This is for your own pet’s protection, particularly if they are not regularly in contact with other animals and so are unlikely to have built up any natural immunity. We will also accept homeopathic inoculation as long as this is accompanied by the results of titre tests and a vet letter.
For cats we insist on the full F4 vaccination and also recommend that your cat is vaccinated against feline AIDS. This vaccination covers cat flu, which although unlikely to kill, can spread easily in a fairly close quarters boarding situation. Similarly we require that your dogs are vaccinated to C5 which includes inoculation against Canine (often incorrectly referred to as Kennel) cough. For more information about Canine Cough click here.
We are on a bush block and so although we inspect the dogs and cats for fleas on arrival, there is little we can do about the fleas that are in the sand or on the local wildlife. We strongly recommend that your cat or dog is flea treated with a monthly spot treatment or spray before they come in to stay. Similarly we also recommend that your dog is protected against heartworm. We are happy to administer spot treatments or medication while your pet is with us at no extra charge.
Your pets may feel stressed while with us—after all nowhere is ever as nice as home however hard we try. Although we provide bedding and toys for both dogs and cats we suggest that you bring in some familiar objects, rugs or bedding and a favourite toy for your pet to have something familiar while they are with us.
We provide above average sized kennels that can comfortably accommodate two dogs from the same household
