Club Membership Renewals,
Club Membership is only $10-00 per fiscal year (from 1st July 2009 to 30th June 2010) with this membership you get free newsletters and big discounts on Club merchandise and free Catalogue updates (one set of Smart and one set of Phoneaway per membership) issued twice per year, February and August.
Members who do not renew their membership by the end of July 2009, we will presume that you have given up collecting and wish not to receive the August 2009 Newsletter and not receive any more Catalogue updates, thank you.

Victorian Public Transport Ticket – MetCard Tickets,
Here are two of the latest issued MetCards.
Circus OZ, this is to promote Circus OZ that is on from 17th June to 12 July 2009 at Birrarung Marr.
Barbie, this is promote Barbie celebrating 50 years of Dreams, Fashion and Fun, June 26th to 12 July, at Federation Square, Melbourne.
Victorian Public Transport Ticket – Myki Cards,
The releasing of Myki Cards in the Melbourne Transport System is going to be very interesting, at present we still have no indication if they are going to release Cards promoting Melbourne Functions, like what has been done with the MetCard System, we do know that the Government has spent money on art work, but nothing is sited yet.
It has been indicated that the releasing of Myki Transport Tickets into the Melbourne Transport System is going to create many headaches; one is when a tram with 150 travelers on it pulls up at Flinders Street Station and they all go to unload through 3 doors and every Myki Card Holder has to scan their Card as they get off, this is going to cause the Tram to run behind schedule as it will take many minutes for the travelers to scan their Myki Card as they get off the tram. Another problem is with the software, if a bus stops running, and then restarts; the software is stating that this is a second trip. This problem the authorities are trying to fix right now as many travelers have been double charged.
We all hope that the Authorities can fix the problems and release Myki Transport Cards with images promoting Melbourne Functions as we all like collecting them; it is a cheap fun hobby collecting Victorian Transport Tickets.

The Club’s 2009 Annual General Meeting Meetings will be held on the 19th July at the Angling Club Hall, corner North Road & Queen Street, (462 North Rd) Ormond, starting time 11am, and all Members are invited to attend.
