Our beautiful Double Crenel mare had to be put down due to complications
foaling her second foal (by Inshallah Silver Guardian).She had
only just gotten over this blessed Equine Influenza and though
we were concerned about her foaling so soon after the flu , she
appeared to be ok and bagged up normally but on the night everything
went wrong .It appears the foal was dead and she couldn't get
it out.She prolapsed and then ruptured her bowel.We had called
our vet as soon as she looked to be in trouble and he was here
in 10 minutes but there was nothing he could do. Our lovely mare
was in agony and we asked him to put her down.He did so and then
quickly did a Caesar to see if we could save the foal but the
foal, an exquisite silver filly was dead.
Like all the Crenel stock she was very slow maturing and was looking
just fabulous.
We have one foal foal from her by Inshallah Silver Echo, making
her a Triple Crenel. Inshallah Golden Image ( TC ), a lovely chestnut.very
compact,an extreme head with huge movement and presence.We will
breed her as a four year old to our lovely young bay colt Monarch
lodge Ambition (Tommie x Pevensey Raid )
Who we bought specifically to go over DC and TC.
Just a note…..watch all of your mares who were in foal and
had the flu as we are not alone in our problem with foaling..

After a 6 month battle with recurring pneumonia we quietly let
our 'old mate' go. He was just short of 32yrs old and though not
well would always let his mares know he was still 'the man'.
To our knowledge he was the last Pure Crabbet son of the immortal
'Banderol'.He was a delight to handle at all times whilst at the
same time a real character.
We purchased Tommie the same day we saw he was for sale,to put
over our 'Crenel' mares and we have always been extremely pleased
with his foals.Those shown have all been Champions both at halter
and more importantly under saddle.
We consider ourselves twice blessed to have had both 'Crenel '
and 'Tommie' for the last half of their lives. This will be our
first season in 17yrs that we won't have a Tommie foal to admire.

very successful first season of showing Echo's first daughter
Inshallah Echo's Magic, a lovely chestnut Pure Crabbet Filly.Magic
has gained 5 championships in her first show season culminating
in being shown to perfection by Rachel Borysko at the 2006 Sydney
Royal Easter Show to win her 3yr old class, the Musgrave Clarke
Memorial Sash and Champion Arabian Mare.
She has been broken - in and we wish her and Sheree luck under
saddle.
