I went up to Winton on Friday December 14th 2001 with a couple of guys to do a bit of testing on our cars. It so happened that Jason Bargwanna was testing his V8 Supercar on the same day at the same track.

I was on his tail for 3/4 of a lap, just caught him out on his out lap, as soon as his tyres and brake were warmed up he was gone....

He must have thought he was seeing double .......

All the chasing didn't do too much good for my brakes, I ended up with no pad material and the "metal on metal" friction was so hot that one of the brake piston got melted/welded onto the backing plate. Needless to say the fluid started gushing out and I ended up with the brake pedal to the floor at the end of the back straight four wheel driving in the run-offs area for a while before managing to get the car back to the pits.
