1939 HILLMAN 14

 

The plan - engine to be replaced with Rover 3.5ltr V8 with Borg Warner 35 auto and rear end with 3.08 diff, at this point in time an IFS from Holden will be installed. Rear end yet to be identified. Interior to be modernized, air conditioning required to keep the boss happy. 

February 2006 - the restoration has commenced, front of vehicle completely stripped. Engine and gearbox removed along with all mechanical bake components. Guards, bonnet etc are all in good condition and need repainting only - to be stored for some time.

Trial fit of engine / gearbox over the next couple of weeks, followed by a test fit of the suspension.
