Gem 550 - "Vegemite" is offered for sale. One of the prettiest Gems you will see sailing anywhere, "Vegemite" has been based in Canberra since 2001 racing amongst the large Gem fleet with excellent results. She has also raced and cruised in Eden, Mallacouta and the Gippsland lakes over the past few years. Prior to this she was raced in Adelaide and was very successful in the Gillwa regatta. In Canberra and elswhere she is normally racing with two crew, sometimes three. We have also cruised and had some lovely weekends away with the Canberra Gem fleet. And often we take our grandchildren for a sail. The gem is great for this, being easy to handle and very roomy for it's size. Thats why we have the side rails, the boat is just as suitable for a family pleasure sail as a spin around the bouys.
