Where can I find out more about other worthy re-enactment groups? That is a very good question. There are some sites for good and worthy groups and there are some sites for bad, naughty groups. "How, oh, how do I sort through the chaff?", you cry. Simple. We have provided links to sites to groups and that we believe are worthy to be included in the Living History Hall of Heroes. All of these groups are dedicated to historical accuracy and research in their particular period. Mind you, we are not saying that all their members are accurate 100% of the time (nobody's perfect but I'm sure we all try to attain such a standard), or that they are all fantastic people, or that they can all out drink a camel, simply that these groups make enough of an effort to be awarded the accolade, "Living Historians". Mind you, some of these people are fantastic people and/or are able to out drink camels Some people may find that the focus of these other groups is more to there liking, as no two re-enactment groups are the same. These links also provide contact details for these other clubs, so people should feel free to visit them and make their own decision on what re-enactment society they would like to be in. Remember, this hobby is very personal one and finding the place that you fit in or finding a group with a similar focus to yourself is important, so take the time to look around. If you do have a question regarding a group in the area, to see if they fit your focus, feel free to email me and I will give you the best advice that I can possibly provide. No, I will not give you the hard sell, as really, if you're not interested in the same sort of reenactment as we are, we would rather see you join a group that better suits you. We are all friends in our group, and we'd rather keep it that way. 8) spear@bigpond.net.au Sorry it's not a direct link, but I'm trying to cut down on my Spam intake.
