When and Where Do You Hold Your Thing? We hold our Things (gatherings) on Sundays. The Thing is held at Speers Point Park, Speers Point (which is a suburb of Newcastle, NSW), starting at approximately 1pm and ending at 3:30-4:30pm depending in the number of people turning up on the day, the weather and our mood. Ah, we are a fickle bunch. Archery begins approximately at 9:30 am at the Hunter Valley Traditional Archers site near Thornton. We try to leave by 12:40pm to make it training by 1:00, lest the non- archers complain. You are welcome to drop in and have a chat or see people hitting each other with axes, swords and such. List of Things for 2006 March 12th and 26th Archery 2006 October 1st, 15th and 29th At these days it is probably best to try and grab the Jarl (the tall, loud guy) in one of our breaks if you have any questions. If the Thing is rained out we usually have a Thing the following weekend You can also talk to us via e-mail: spear@bigpond.net.au (sorry-anti spam so you'll have to type it in) It is a wise precaution to email in advance, as from time to time we like to change the venue or we have our events to attend, or we may have changed the time or venue again.

 Other Events During the year we hold or attend other events that are deemed interesting enough to attend. I shall attempt to get some of those up here as time permits. Some of these events are by invitation only, some will be open to all reenactment groups (of the appropriate period) and other are open to all and sundry.
