Dark Age Reenactment Society
Welcome to the new, and debatably improved, Fire and Steel Dark Age Reenactment Society's website.
We've looked at a new style and hopefully this will make it easily to use and navigate. Only time will tell. The sidebar should allow you to navigate to the various sections of the site where you will find galleries, articles of limited humour and interest, a Who's Who of our club and hopefully as time permits we shall add a some images of some of our reenactment friends. I intend to add images of some of our gear as the years roll on.
I have tried to keep the images as small a file as possible so that they load quickly. They may not be the highest resolution images in the world, but at least you won't have to wait until the end of the same to view them. In the same vein, you will find none of those horrid PDF file things. What a tedious waste of time they are. They take ages to load, just to find out that it's rubbish anyway. So none of that.
By the way, this website is not the official voice of Fire and Steel, just my interpretation. So if you don't like something here, (because you don't have a sense of humour, are a jerk or whatever), that's my fault (or your fault) and no other. If there's an error here then that's also my fault. You are welcome to report any faults to me and I shall rectify the problem. If you find something wrong with our gear please back it up with evidence, and I will happily change or acknowledge the error.
