
WHAT IS THE MOUNT ISA DISTRICT BOWHUNTERS CLUB?
As the name implies, we are a club for people whom have an interest in bows and arrows, be it the actual hunting side, just the target shooting side or a combination of both. Bowhunting, (also known as Field Archery) although similar to Archery, differs from Archery by way of the targets shot. Bowhunters shoot at simulated feral animal targets set in a bush type surround, whereas Archers shoot at the classic bullseye type targets on flat, open ground. We are also a very sociable group and welcome visitors to come out and see what we do.

The Mount Isa District Bowhunters shoot several
different ranges adjacent to the Clubhouse at 9.00am on every second Sunday.

We also conduct night shoots at the Clubhouse on the Wednesday night following the Sunday shoot, starting at 6.30pm.
We can also be found at the Carpentaria Buffalo Club every Thursday afternoon from about 5.45pm to 7.00pm, where we sell raffle tickets. Monthly Committee meetings are held on the weekend of each Fun Shoot (immediately following the shoot), and all are welcome.
