Mark and Debra are "CAR109" entrants in the 2006 Variety (SA) 4WD Challenge.
Variety (SA) is part of an international children's charity, which raises money for sick, disabled and disadvantaged children. The money raised in this event and others like it, such as the Variety Bash is spent on these children with Variety containing administration costs to a single percentage of the figure of net funds raised.

These events are successful because of the amount of support they receive from the entrants, their sponsors and the general public.
The costs of participating in the event are borne personally by the entrants. These costs include entry fee, vehicle supply, maintenance and running costs, meals accommodation and merchandise. All fundraising is paid to Variety and directly benefits sick, disabled and disadvantaged children.
