As noted above, some companies, such as Carrillo, give discounts for
larger orders while others, like Ross have a minimum, which they won't go below.
If you want a certain part but you need less than the minimum, 650-XSories
can sometimes make up the difference if it's a part that can also be sold to
others. Eg; If you wanted stainless valves but only needed two intake and two
exhaust, 650-XSories would buy two more for stock
as long as they were of standard size. However, say you wanted Wiseco to make
two custom pistons, we cannot buy the other 23 and hope to sell them in this
lifetime.
For items which must be ordered in, 650-XSories
requires a 50% deposit with the balance payable COD. Items already in stock will
simply be sent COD the same or next day.
650-XSories is endeavoring to eliminate the
design flaws (yes, there are a couple) that the 650 has. Our test bike has a
motor that has it's crank rephased to 90 + 270 degrees, a permanent-magnet
alternator, a hydraulic clutch, and a belt-driven cam, and a belt final-drive.
650-XSories' prices will only increase when
manufacturers or the post office increase theirs. Also, one must allow for
fluctuating exchange rates, but this can go either way.
