Published in 1988,Ordinary People Extraordinary Lives is a
book of 484 pages which traces the history of the Maudsley
family. It spans four centuries of Maudsley history, beginning in the North
Craven area of West Yorkshire, England, in the 16th century. The story moves to
the northern parts of Lancashire in the 1800s, then briefly to Holme,
Westmorland, before following Richard Maudsley and his wife, Agnes (Booker), and
their family to Queensland, Australia in 1866.
