I am a Retired Paramedic from the Queensland Ambulance Service (Q.A.S.) of 20 years. I participate in the Annual Variety Bash to help raise over $1 Million each year for the Disadvantaged and Disabled Children of Queensland.
The Queensland Ambulance Service also provide medical equipment which allows the Variety Bash Rescue team to provide a 24hr medical support for all Variety Bash Participants.
Although I provide a service for the Variety Bash I too need to raise the necessary sponsorship in order to participate. I would like you to consider becoming one of my sponsors with a donation for the Variety Queensland.
As a sponsor, your company will attract advertising through – the companies logo/ name placed in prominent areas of our vehicle, also via the Seven Network Televising the event, Variety Club Publications and Public events. Our Variety Bash Car is used around the Gold Coast on a daily basis and this will only maximise exposure of companies Support for us and promote your involvement with an international reputable Children's Charity.
HOW FUNDS ARE USED
All of the net funds raised are spent on children and/or children’s organisations within the State of Queensland, Funds are spent on a variety of goods and services which include the Variety Sunshine Coach Program (motor coaches), a service which provides disabled children with yet another life enhancing vehicle via its "Easy Riders" Wheelchair program (EFIP).
Along with a vast number of Grants made to hospitals, schools, Youth Clubs and, of course, individual children. In addition to that listed above a $500,000 Grant has been made over a five year period to the Royal Children’s Hospital in Brisbane for the provision of a "Chair of Paediatrics". A Professor has been engaged and will cover the total area of Queensland assisting hospitals and other areas with the best possible paediatric care available.
I have been proudly associated with Variety Queensland, since 1992 and have found this Children's charity most fulfilling. I would like to invite you to become part of this rewarding and exciting way of helping the Disabled and Disadvantaged children of Queensland.
This year's event is the 2009 Gold 20th Anniversary Queensland Variety Bash Townsville to Alice Springs - August 13 to 22, 2009
