- A short walk up Cavill Ave past the place of where the famous Mr. Jim Cavil had his Cavill Hotel on the corner of Cavill Ave and the South bound Gold Coast Highway, then onto the fabulous Golden Beaches of Surfers Paradise.
Construction
History:
- Originally East Homes which backed onto West Homes on the corner of North bound Gold Coast Highway and Beach Road.
- East Homes turned into Tara Lodge in 1971
- Extensions through to Cavill Ave finished in 1982. Then renamed Tara Holiday Village, 50 Cavill Ave Surfers Paradise. Corner of North bound Highway and Cavill Ave.
- Refurbishing performed in 1985. Then renamed Tara Resort
- During 1986 and 1987 Tara Resort was awarded The "Best Holiday Resort Award" by Ansett Airlines.
- Tara Resort closed on the 3rd February 1989. A very sad day for all Partyers :(
