Just a few helpfull hints for our Bash family members survive the

2009  20th Anniversary
Queensland Variety Bash
Townsville to Alice Springs - August 13 to 22, 2009

Morning!!  Bashers,

The next Bash is only around the corner so I hope everyone has checked their First Aid Kit are well equipped, and have an up to date First Aid Manual.

Just a reminder of the items you should carry in your vehicles First Aid Kit:

REMEMBER:  Keep up a good intake of water during the event  and if you are on medications please ensure you bring enough with you to last the duration of the Bash. It is important to carry a list of  your medications, medical history and any medications you might have an ALLERGY too. As per Bash Safety Rules, please keep your First  Aid Kit in an easy quick accessible place in your vehicle.

The OV 000 hangover remedy is, for breakfast have a strong cup of coffee with  2 - 3 teaspoons of sugar, toast, 2 x fried eggs, greasy bacon and or sausages ( Shouldn't be a shortage there), 2 x Panadol and let  another team member drive.  If this doesn't work simply apply 2 fingers to the rear of your throat and bend forward preferably away from other team members and Bashers.

The OV 000 Paramedics are constantly diligent and ready for any Emergency, treatment charges will apply and if the injury is caused by stupidity or a Wobbly Boot you will be fined an IDIOTS fee, all of which will be donated to Variety Queensland.

Also please remember and take serious consideration when driving on gravel roads, them Critters out west can be big and most of the time run straight in front of or into your car. Roo's, Emu's, Cattle, Sheep, Camels, Horses etc do cause quite a few serious accidents on rural roads.

Please make sure your Queensland Ambulance Service (Q.A.S) First Aid certificate is current.

For courses phone 1300 369 003 don't forget First Aid Kits can be purchased at Q.A.S.  stations.
