Our goal in breeding is to
produce sound, quality puppies with excellent
temperaments, that are happy, loving and conform to
the AKC standard (adopted in Australia) for the
breed. A sound Siberian possesses good conformation,
is healthy, athletic and free of defects such as hip
dysplasia, eye abnormalities and epilepsy.
Conformation is a measure of how the physical
characteristics and personality of the dog compare
to the
AKC standard
for the breed. The AKC standard defines various
attributes which make the Siberian able to perform
its original function as a medium-sized, working dog
capable of pulling a sled with a light load over
long distances in arctic conditions.
We have a
personal desire to increase our understanding and
knowledge of the breed and know many long time
breeders with whom we have built friendships with
over the years. Our breedings are planned, with
careful consideration of the genetic phenotypes of
both sire and dam. Both sire and dam have been
certified free of hip dysplasia and eye
abnormalities by certified Veterinarians.
As a
breeder we are responsible for breeding to only the
best dogs available and our litters are whelped and
raised in our home. We have a responsibility to do
the very best and produce quality Siberian Huskies
that will be loving family members for their
lifetime.
Thank you for visiting our website and we are happy to answer
any of your questions regarding the dogs that we have bred
and/or own. We want to help you to decide if the Siberian Husky
is the right breed for you.
