Regardless of where it is shown or exhibited, every picture has to mounted on something. I have a state-of-the-art, vacuum mounting press which virtually guarantees freedom from dust and air trapped under the picture. This photo of Dad (left) is a montage. I took a shot of the press in action, mounting a 900 mm x 600 mm digital enlargement. I just used Photoshop to remove the clutter of the workroom and put a background from Tangalooma holiday resort to make the picture more pleasant to look at. We can mount up to 2 metres by 1.2 metres and up to 25mm thick in this press. We can also mount larger sizes up to 3 metres long using technology from carbon fibre yacht repairers with the same high quality results. Along with the mounting
technology I also have "Liquid laminating" technology which
coats the surface with a few micron thick gloss or matt surface to enhance
the durability of photographs and pictures. This is available up
to 1200 mm wide. Normal laminating is also available. |
