There are many campaigns to help eliminate the Cane Toad and here are just a few if them.

The Cane Toad Round up.

This is where heaps of people come together armed with plastic buckets and gloves to go around picking up all the Cane Toads they can find and bringing them back to a centre to be frozen.

Individual Campaigns

A couple who live in the Northern Territory are doing their bit to help Australia be rid of Cane Toads. They are doing this by removing all of the Cane Toad eggs that they find in their pond and disposing of them.

Government Help

The government has now started a program to stop the Cane Toad at its roots. They have been keeping a few adult toads for breeding and when they have the scientists are injecting the tadpoles with a hormone that the Cane Toad needs to grow from a Tadpole to a Toad. This hope is that the Tadpoles will reject the hormone and when they grow up will also reject the hormone which will disable them from breeding.
