The Basilisk Bookshop is located at 407 Brunswick Street, Fitzroy,
an inner suburb of Melbourne well known for its quirky shops and many
cafés and restaurants. It is only a fifteen minute tram-ride from the city centre: take the Number 112 from anywhere in Collins Street, get off at Alexandra Parade, and walk back towards the city (we are one block down on the right). |
Our current business hours are: 11:00am to 7:00 pm
7 days a week. (Australian Eastern Standard - Summer - Time)
We are open all public holidays except Christmas and New Year’s days.
As we live locally we can easily open the shop by appointment for customers who are unable to come during our normal trading hours.

PLEASE NOTE: Our shop stocks comprises a broad range of quality secondhand and rare books in most fields of interest. Due to limitations of space the books catalogued in our Web listings may not necessarily be kept on the premises. If you are planning on visiting the shop and would like to view particular books you have seen listed here, please notify us in advance so that we can ensure they are available for your perusal when you call. |
