To link your RC transmitter to PRE-Flight you will need the PRE-Flight interface which provides up to 16 proportional channels. Unlike other interfaces (which can only do 4 proportional channels), the PRE-Flight interface is designed to provide high accuracy while reducing the load on the PC. Note that you need at least 5 proportional channels to fly a helicopter and operate flaps and landing gear on planes.

The advanced design incorporates not one but two IC microchips. The PIC chip is a miniature RISC microcomputer complete with its own RAM and "off-loads" the PC CPU by doing most of the number-crunching. The second chip provides total compliance to the PC RS-232 protocol which results in reliability (less glitches) and compatibility to current versions of Windows(95/98/NT/ME/2000/XP) and future versions as well.

The design also includes a low-drift, high-frequency quartz crystal (like in a fine digital watch) to provide the highest accuracy and very low temperature frequency drift - which means accuracy and consistency (less re-calibration).
