Note: To use PRE-Flight with your RC transmitter you need to obtain the PRE-Flight interface.
FACT: MOST SIMULATORS ARE OBSOLETE BEFORE THE BOX IS OPEN.
Fully modifiable means just that - all elements that make up an aircraft or scene:
All equations - including tables that represent wing/fin/prop/rotor surfaces
All geometry - size and shape of fuselage, wings, fins, etc.
All scenery elements - pylons, obstacles - move and size them how you like.
All animated components - from rotors to windmills - you decide if, when, and how they move
All contacts - sliding to sticky ground contact - from wheels to skids
All sounds - accepts .wav files - record your own!
All colors, texturing, etc. - PRE-Flight comes with REALIZE (see link below)
All scenery lighting - dawn, noon, twilight, midnight, on earth or otherwise -
sunlight, moonlight, spotlights, point sources, any color and orientation
All upgrades free - and available as soon as it is software tested
New aircraft - as with upgrades - available on the internet or email (if required)
Aircraft designers can use PRE-Flight to let potential buyers "test-fly" their
new products - see above link for designers.
Internet as a source of models - Look at link to REALIZE below
A BRIEF HISTORY OF TIMEFACTOR
PRE-Flight offers beginners the ideal training aid - the "TimeFactor" parameter
in the scenery data file (.sce). Simply put, the user can slow down the simulation
to a comfortable level then, over time, ease it back full speed. The characteristics
of the aircraft do not change over the training period and the user has absolute
control of the simulation speed.
AND WHEN YOU'RE READY FOR AIRCRAFT DESIGN...
PRE-Flight can then step back in and tell you how well (or how poorly) your
design performs - before you even buy the first component. Click on the link
above for more details.
