For most of my life I have been
involved with animals. Back in the seventies, I successfully
showed Labrador Retrievers in the U.K. In the early eighties, I
emigrated to Australia with my family which also included my two adored
Labradors.After thoroughly enjoying
showing dogs, I decided to look at the various breeds of cats and fell
in love with the characteristics of the Burmese and Siamese cat.
I
consequently acquired a Burmese and Siamese cat in 1986 and this became
my first introduction to the Cat Fancy. I also own and have had pleasure
in showing a Devon Rex Neuter.
Since then, I have been
actively involved in numerous clubs and have held various positions
which have included being Secretary of the Burmese Cat Society of
A/Asia, Secretary of St George District Cat Club and President of the
Oriental Cat Club of NSW. I have had the pleasure of being a steward for
the past 12 years and this gave me the inclination to do a Group 3
Judges training course, which I successfully completed in 1999. I
have since extended my licence to include all shorthair
cats and I specialise in breeding Burmese, Siamese
and Orientals. I have had considerable success under the
"Ahzel" prefix. Back to
