Provide Mentoring Support
to Business Colleagues (THHGLE21B)
Have
you ever been asked to be a mentor? Mentoring can be daunting when
you first encounter it. Mentoring is the most effective way to help
people develop their jobs and their careers. This unit helps you
to develop strategies for fostering talent and spreading knowledge.
The course covers the knowledge and skills required to act as a
business mentor to other individuals in industry.
This course will give you the skills to
- Develop trust, confidence and rapport
- Construct a mentoring agreement
- Sharpen your interpersonal skills
- Develop a culture of peer support
- Apply all of these skills in a working environment
100 Nominal hours are required to complete this unit
of competency. The 2- day workshop is supported by on the job application
of skills.
There are no entry requirements.
Upon completion of the project in the workplace,
the individual will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for THHGLE21B
Provide Mentoring Support to Business Colleagues. This is a Diploma
level course and can be applied as an elective to many Diploma level
qualifications.
Mentoring business colleagues within a workplace
is of major importance in developing leaders and maximising business
resources. This unit of competency can be applied to many qualifications
as an elective in a field that requires supervising others.
