Intelligence Quotient

First tested by  a school counsellor at the age of 13 and I was given an IQ score of 153. More recently, since completing university, I have scored 34 out 36 on Raven's Advanced Progressive Matrices at age 43 during testing by an ACT Government Department, the  Office of  Training and Adult Education. There has been considerable debate about how Raven's scores translate to IQ scores but a good analysis occurs on the  Prometheus Society web site. They estimate that the 99.997 percentile score for a person aged above 40 is a raw score of 30. This assumes raw score standard deviation of 4 correct answers per sigma jump. If a  standard deviation of 15 is used it equates to an IQ score of 160 for the 99.997 percentile and the score of 34 that I achieved at the age of 43 equates to an IQ score of 175. This appears to be an overestimate however and the true  score is likely to be somewhere between  the 160 and 175 mark.  I have also scored 151 on the WAIS-III  VIQ at the same age.
