This site has been designed for the Links LS Golfers in mind. If used correctly it should increase
both player participation and player completion numbers. It is up to you as Tour Directors to encourage
the use of the ICQ Status Page as a central point for all players to find partners for their rounds. It is also important you keep your members details current. If a member does not have his settings (under Security & Privacy) enabling others to view his online presence over the World Wide Web then he/she will have a grey status indicator. The usual green for online and red for offline will be seen if they have their settings correct. The only other symbol you will see is a box with an "X" in it which means the ICQ # was either too short, long or non-existent. This site will become much more user friendly as time goes by. A fully searchable database will be in use in the near future. This feature will allow a member to select all "online" players in "PGLA" for example and it will show all members in that tour that are online at that particular time. It is expected once all tours begin submitting their members lists and ICQ#'s to have in excess of 1000 hits per day. The easier we make it for fellow Linksters the more fun the game is and the more successful your tour becomes. At the moment I am only looking to update the site bi-weekly. So all I need from you is to cut and paste or send as a text file your current Members list of Nicks and their ICQ#'s. I will do the rest. Robbie Westin (WizardOfAus) |
